saw this article on straits times..
Avoid swimming at Pasir Ris beach for a year as water is unclean: NEAafter reading the article.. i feel so disgusted and gross..
although i don't swim in singapore's beaches, it still freak me out..
NEA advised the public not to swim at Pasir Ris beach for a year as the water is not clean. They also reported in this article that the water there is not safe because it carries a high level of Enterococcus - a bacteria found in faeces.
It also mentioned that Sentosa's water us rated as "very good". I suppose it will be safe to swim there..
My thought: why will such bateria found in the water of Pasir Ris beach? somebody been shitting there? yikes!!
So much for "Clean and Green Singapore"

刚刚在网上读了一篇文章 《女兒不要嫁》

女兒五歲，決定讓她上一所收費很高的幼稚園。
身為母親的 ，感到十分欣慰。常常拿著照片，跟我們講女兒有多麼聰
明、 可愛。 同事們問她：「從小照顧得這麼好，又這麼認真栽培，難不成
你想要她以後當女總統？ 」
她語重心長地說：「那倒不必，如果她真的很傑出，我希望她能夠獨立生
活,不要嫁。經營一個幸福的家庭多麼不容易，女主人和男 主人雙
方 要付出許多心血。有幾個男人願意這麼配合女人，營造一個 幸
福家庭？如果，我的女兒很傑出，勢必沒有辦法被限制在一個傳統 婚
姻的框架中，一旦結婚，丈夫又不是很上進、很能包容，注定會過得不
幸福。」
她倒是講中了兩個重點：
1.【上進的男人不見得能夠包容一個和他一樣優秀的女人】
2.【而不上進的男人，就算有再大的包容力，又怎麼能夠讓女人
幸福？ 】
我寧願她安心地去發展自己的夢想，多交幾個男朋友，甚至有固定的
性伴侶。想永遠住家裡，我一定很歡迎。想一個人搬出去住，我也會支
持她。
總之，我要她活得很快樂。 一個人生活，快樂可以由自己主宰。
嫁了人以後，自己的快樂卻操 之在丈夫及公婆手裡。
那次聊天以後，同事們的見解不一，有人認為：她太寵愛女兒了，寵愛
到近乎想霸占她的地步。 也有人覺得：兒孫自有兒孫福，她實在想得
太多。
我個人倒是認為，她的講法裡有幾個突破性的觀念，值得男性朋友
深深思考：
- 第一、當你愛上一個女人時； 是否能尊重她的想法及發展，並
- 且全力支持？
- 第二、迎娶一個心愛女人回來；是否能在事先安排好幫助她適
- 應新環境的準備？
- 第三、你的愛及你家人對你所愛的支持是否一致？
不論男性對上述問題的答案是什麼！
對一位優秀的女性來說： 『擁有一位疼愛自己、永遠不會逼女兒
結婚的老妈，絕對比嫁一個不 尊重女性的老公，要來得幸福得
多』
個人認為呢 -- 上述所言實在是字字珠璣啊 !!
我想這也是大部分的現代女性懼怕婚姻的原因吧 !不過,我相信,
只要彼此有心願意共同努力 ! 珍惜與經營.....幸福也不是那麼遙
遠的事情.所以,單身的朋友們,請不要因身邊的朋友一個個步入婚
姻而為自己心急！
慎選一位適合自己的人才是最重要的 !
身旁已有個他的你, 也請好好珍惜得來不易的幸福喔

面对抉择．．．
他问我“给他多一个机会好吗？”
接着跟我说了一大堆理由和借口．
说什么不习惯，还需要时间适应，
时间能够证明一切，再让他试试．
人非草木，听了的确有一点心软．
必须让我想一想该怎么做才算好．
对我来说：行就行，不行就不行．
没必要一拖再拖，长痛不如短痛．
对他仁慈，会不会是对自己残忍？
其实让他再尝试不见得是件难事．
与其从新来过，倒不如保持现状．
人嘛．总是不喜欢接受任何改变．
衡量了一下眼前所有的利和弊后，
觉得没有什么必要对他赶尽杀绝．
因为每个人的适应能力都不一样．
有的比较快热，有的会比较慢热．
终于，我决定了以一星期为期限．
这是我最后的底线，不会再妥协．
如果情况不改善的活，不要怪我，
请他另谋高就，此地不能再留他．

Watched Superband last night..
Such a disappointment..
is worse than last week's group..
had so much hope for my 2 fave bands (樱and翼旋风) ..
and both did very badly last night.. so substandard..
is it stress? too excited? over estimated themselves?
翼旋风 was voted out.. *shake head*
for those who managed to get to the next round "good luck & work hard"
